Large 1950 Walnut Midcentury American Floor Lamp by David Shreve for V H Woolums
About the Item
A wonderfully organic west coast of American Midcentury floor lamp designed by David Shrive for V.H. Woolums MFC of Florida. The walnut lamp base is beautifully sculptured, and sits 103cm high, with a central brass column inside of which is the wiring. It has two shades; an inner hessian shade and what looks like a later radio weave rattan drum shade. The lamp omits a lovely diffused soft light, and is a real statement piece.
In good period condition, with a couple of age-related marks to the base.
Professionally rewired with black 2-core cable, inline switch and new plug. Measurements: 103cm H x 46cm Diameter, base 26cm diameter
