About the Item

Large red plastic lamp, 1970s, attributed to Gae Aulenti. . With a height of approximately 110 cm, it is made up of 4 elements which can be separated plus the globe which is approximately 40 cm in diameter (the elements can therefore be separated for transport ; this will take up less space). . It diffuses a very beautiful light and will fit perfectly in any room of an apartment, a house, a showroom, a shop, an office, etc. . Very nice switch with Italian inscription. . Presence of wear, oxidation on the base of the chrome and some scratches which in no way detract from the beauty of this piece . Born in 1927 in Italy, Gae Aulenti trained as an architect at the prestigious Milan Polytechnic before becoming a graphic designer and editor for the design magazine Casabella. She also designed furniture ranges for renowned designers such as Knoll and Artemide.
