Maitland Smith Attributed Tessellated and Bronze Torchieres, 1990s
About the Item
A wonderful pair of bronze over steel Torchieres with tesselated shades. The pair of lamps is attributed to Maitland Smith, however, they are unmarked. This lovely pair of floor lamps would work well with antiques and Neoclassical or Empire furniture, as well as, a more Modernist interior. The details are truly magnificent with decorative lion heads with a campus leaf decorative accent. The paw feet are a continuation of the lion motif. The torchiere lamps have dimmer switches and are ready to place. The condition is very good with the original finish and wiring. The tesselated shades add a warm tone and aviance.
