The Coexist floor lamp consists of a marble cube base and a lampshade made from boucle fabric.
The special lamp serves as a sculptural centerpiece for any room, emitting a soft warm light to draw the viewer into the materials. The bold geometry of the cube base unites with the soft curves of the lampshade to create a harmonious contemporary piece that plays with the simplicity of these primitive shapes. The handcrafted marble base is created from remnants of marble, salvaging odd sizes, and broken slabs for new uses. The Coexist floor lamp is the outcome of a thoughtful design procedure that gives a new lifecycle to exquisite materials in a bold and unique way.

Slash Objects is an award-winning design studio based in New York City. Our work is rooted in a fascination with materials and how they are brought together. Using unexpected juxtapositions and thoughtful design, we create beautiful pieces that transform the way people experience the world. Our process begins in the material, with an interest in exposing the very tactile nature of making, while creating pure forms bound together by geometry and precision. The materials we use are recycled and long-lasting, breathing new life cycles into materials otherwise relegated to waste. Slash Objects was founded in 2016 by architect and designer Arielle Assouline-Lichten. Our studio is in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and we work with local fabricators to bring the pieces to life. We believe that thoughtful design leads to a better world.
