About the Item

At its most basic level, mid-century modern designs are known for juxtaposing sleek lines with organic shapes, using new materials and methods to reimagine traditional pieces. This floor lamp is a perfect example with a futuristic look that is an innovative departure from the past. At the very beginning of modernism, many European designers found it challenging to balance modern creativity and classical elegance. By entering the mid-century modern era, European design became known for remaining stylish, refined, and elegant with a modern, creative edge. In general, mid-century modern lamps are geometric, with globes, hourglasses, and rings being the dominant shapes. This model showcases all these elements in versatile forms and shapes.
