About the Item

A spectacular counterweighted arm floorlamp, by Georges Frydman, produced by EFA, France 1950. This rare model is a french masterpiece in the spirit of Gino Sarfatti's early creation : A simple circular wood base with 2 switches allowing to light both lights independently, circled by an iron ring, is forming the base. A straight rigorous black-anthracite vertical axe is carrying the main circular shade, white cream lacquered metal, to be used as a "Luminator" enlighting ceilings. And, an orientable arm with beautiful straight golden brass shapes is enligthing spaces or seating areas with its aerial cylindrical paper shade. At the end, this is the most accoimplished creation by Georges Frydman : a complete lightning system doubled by a true architectural lightning system, unique and pioneer in french lightning history. DIMENSIONS: H 200 x D 56 cm + Counterweight arm length up to 120 cm CONDITION: In beautiful original condition. Wear, scratches, traces, patina of use on all surfaces.

Wear consistent with age and use. The wole piece is in its true real original condition. The top metal shade presents some lacquer losses on edges. The brass cylinders, on the arm, are presenting some surface rust and oxidations. All signs of use will be cleaned or reduced on demand.
