Mid-Century Modern Stemlite Chrome Floor Lamp by Bill Curry
About the Item
This mid-century modern 1962 chrome floor lamp designed by Bill Curry features a mushroom shade and 3-way switch. The fixture is labeled Stemlite by Design Line Inc, El Segundo, Calif, USA. Shade has no cracks or chips, very light wear to the base, all over great condition. Overall dimensions are 43" tall x 12" wide. The base alone is 38" tall and 7" in diameter. The shade is 12" diameter x 6 1/2" tall. This original Stemlite lamp designed by Bill Curry was named "most influential lamp of the year" by Industrial Design Magazine in 1965. A Stemlite lamp was on the set of the original Star Trek TV series.
