About the Item

Very rare Space Age floor lamp from the Swiss manufacturer BAG Turgi by Carl Moor from the 60s. This lamp was sold in the US by Koch+Lowy under the name Helvetica. Cubic floor lamp with lighted openings. The luminaire body is made of painted steel sheet. The cube balancing on finely executed feet. The opal acrylic domes are kept inside with clamps and fit flush into the openings. A special detail is the set inside, wide chamfer at the edge of the openings. The individual caps are adapted to each other in position and curvature that the observer is suggested an image of a complete ball within the cube. Downwardly of the body is open and takes a square carpet of light of the lamp are formed, the highlighting optically from the bottom.
