Never-Used Original Danish Caprani Floor Lamp, 1970s, Denmark
About the Item
A never-used original Danish floor lamp by Mads Caprani. Curved bentwood on a cast-iron crescent foot. The style is called Timberline no. 840 in beech wood. The striking design, somehow both quintessentially 1970s and utterly timeless in its aesthetic, made it so popular that it is commonly known as the 'Caprani Floor lamp' although Caprani Light produced various types of floor lamps.
The lamp is ready to use using standard E26/E27 light bulb. It has a foot switch and a standard european plug (so a converter or replacement plug is needed for use overseas).
This particular one is somewhat a collectors item as it has never been used. It was found in the back of closing furniture store, where it has been standing for decades. It is practically as new with only very few tiny marks, amongst other what appears to be marks from a dirty fingers and a few dents in the shade. It has the original sticker and 'Capranilight' branded in the cast iron base, and even tag on the shade-holder.
As it says in Danish on the tag: "I am just better" ("Jeg er bare bedre").
