A timeless pair of French forged iron floor lamps with dark patina decorated with the form of a star, after Alberto & Diego Giacometti for Jean-Michel Frank. Model: Etoile. Dimensions: H: 72 x D 19.5 ; Shades are for demonstration only.
The Giacometti's were deeply influenced by the bold, singular and primitive qualities of Etruscan Design and the purity of Classical forms. Their work for Jean-Michel Frank reflected this, along with their fervor for the hand-crafted modernism pioneered by them. All these qualities are evident in these lamps.
