Pair of rare lamps, modell B 203, Labelled.
Octagonal base in brass.
Height of the base is 38 cm, height including the lampshade is 63.5 cm. Diameter of the shade is 41cm.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) was one of the most prominent designers of our time. After graduating as an architect in Gothenburg and later working as an industrial designer at General Motors, Jakobsson worked at Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus. Driven to test his philosophy of good design, where every part of the fixture should be of interest to the designer, Jakobsson moved in 1951 to Markaryd in Småland and founded Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB. Brass lamps gradually became the company's hallmark, and the fixtures produced according to Jakobsson's philosophy have proven to be immensely popular among collectors and interior designers worldwide, thanks to their well-thought-out design.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
