Pair of Torciere Milan, c. 1750.
About the Item
Pair of carved white lacquered and partially gilded cirmol wood lamp stands, supported by a cylindrical rod. Composed of large opposing "C"-shaped volutes, they are carved with curls and leaf motifs, embellished with a flowering branch descending from the upper corolla, support for the candle. Above the two lamps is the pierced and gilded iron plate.
