A POST-MODERN Minimal FLOOR LAMP by RICO & ROSEMARIE BALTENSWEILER, Swiss 1970
About the Item
A halogen floor lamp type "Eclisse" or "Eclipse", inspired by the space or the moon (just like some of the models from the same period by Gino Sarfatti for ex.), Post-Modern, with a circular base in granit-like cast iron, a vertical central axis in chrome-plated metal, with a circular abat-jour in granit-like mustard yellow metal, with an elegantly hanging graphic cable, by Rico & Rosemarie Baltensweiler, Switzerland 1970.
The rotating abat-jour distinguishes itself by its fine yet rigorous design, spreading an intense light one can position according to the situation, or towards a wall, so the light can create a backlighting or a lunar half-light ("chiaroscuro").
An original switch on-off is placed on the abat-jour as well as a light-dimming control put on the electric cable.
