About the Item

The Jingzi lamp draws its inspiration from the organic shape of a suspended droplet and emerged from the design process for the lighting and hanging plants at the Kunsthalle Café in Fünf Höfe (Five Courtyards) located in Munich City Centre. Jingzi lamps are made of a raw silicone material, featuring trapped air bubbles that diffuse a soft and ambient light. Each silicone lamp sleeve is meticulously handcrafted, resulting in a unique piece. About the designers: Herzog and De Meuron are two renowned architects from Switzerland. They are known for their innovative approach and bold designs in creating iconic buildings worldwide. Some of their notable works include the Beijing National Stadium, Tate Modern in London, and Allianz Arena in Munich. Their work embodies a harmonious blend of contemporary architecture and the urban environment. The floor lamp has a dimmer installed, which can be activated by stepping on the stem of the lamp, which takes a little bit of practice. The lamp takes one E27 screw-in lightbulb.
