About the Item

This is not merely lighting—it’s a luminous forest sculpture, suspended in time. Handcrafted from weathered tree branches sourced from the wild, this floor lamp exudes an organic vitality that bridges rustic craft and ambient modern artistry. Design & Presence The lamp’s sinuous branches spiral upward like natural vines, branching into several tendrils that cradle pear-shaped amber glass globes. Each globe glows with honeyed warmth, creating pools of light that are both atmospheric and tactile. Golden cornices elegantly crown each shade, offering sculptural contrast against the raw wood’s texture. Set upon a base scattered with river stones—the branches appear to sprout from the earth itself. The effect is uncanny: a piece that feels at once handcrafted and otherworldly, an interior marvel that softly blurs the boundary between nature and design. Craftsmanship & Condition Standing approximately 61″ high, with a spread of 25.5″ wide × 14″ deep, the lamp commands attention without overwhelming. The lamp functions perfectly, emitting a soft amber glow that invites quiet contemplation. One shade bears a discreet repair—an original fragment expertly reassembled—blending integrity with authenticity rather than detracting from the piece’s character. Standing about 61 inches (155 cm) tall, with a width of approximately 25½ inches (65 cm) and a depth of 14 inches (36 cm), this lamp becomes a sculptural presence in any room. The base spans roughly 12½ × 15 inches (32 × 38 cm), anchoring the organic movement of branches above. The glass globes are each pear-shaped and measure about 19 inches (48 cm) in height—tawny, luminous diffusers that glow with unexpected warmth. Natural tree branches, harvested from wild sources, are hand-formed into a sinuous bouquet that seems frozen in mid-growth. The wood is left with its live texture, its grain and knots informing the work’s rugged honesty. Stone pebbles nestle around the base as if sprouting from earth, giving the piece grounded weight and visual narrative. Each amber glass shade is crowned with gold-painted cornices and decorated motifs, enhancing the globes’ glow and giving them a decorative flourish. The lamp is vintage from the later mid-century period. Functionally it works; lighting is soft and inviting. One of the globes has a repaired fragment, glued back with care, the repair nearly invisible unless up close—this imperfection contributes character rather than detracts. The cord is long (about 6½ feet), allowing placement flexibility. Visually it straddles rustic, organic craftsmanship and theatrical lighting statement. It casts luminous patches of amber glow, ideal for corner rooms, reading nooks, or spaces that invite mystery and atmosphere. The interplay of rough organic wood, glowing glass, and decorative gold motifs makes it feel like something found in an enchanted forest or art-install-environment rather than simply a lamp. For collectors who favor nature-inspired artistry, vintage craft, and lighting that tells a story, this piece is rare. It’s not just illumination; it’s ambiance, presence, and a dramatic affirmation that functional objects can also evoke wonder. Why It Resonates This lamp transcends its utilitarian purpose; it is luminous storytelling. Its artistry lies in how it transforms found materials into ambient theatre—wood, stone, and glass combining to evoke forest light in interior form. Rare and deeply tactile, it's ideal for collectors of naturalist design, interiors seeking primal sculptural elements, or gallery settings where art and utility converge. A statement piece that radiates warmth, texture, and narrative—the kind of functional artwork that turns rooms into atmospheres.

Mid-Century Modern Sculptural Clear Murano Glass Table Lamp
By Murano Glass Sommerso, Charles Hollis Jones, Lightolier
Located in Chattanooga, TN
A graceful study in form and light, this mid-century Murano glass table lamp is both sculpture and luminous centerpiece. Its elegant clear glass body, thoughtfully hand-blown, rises like a flame or organic bud—its flowing curves catching and refracting ambient glow with poetic clarity. The glass artfully envelopes a slender brass or chrome stem, which emerges subtly to support illumination, offering a dialogue between transparency, structure, and illumination. Measuring approximately 30.5 inches tall with a 6.5-inch width and 6-inch depth, the lamp commands attention without overwhelming—its vertical composition perfect for sculptural accents in living areas, offices, or luxe hospitality interiors. In excellent vintage condition, its glass remains pristine and luminous. The metal base shows gentle wear and patinated charm, reinforcing its authentic aging rather than distracting from its refined presence. The lamp shade is NOT included with this listing. Please inquire if you would like to purchase the shade separately. Elegant Mid-Century Modern sculptural Murano glass table lamp. The piece is unmarked but its of high quality in terms of design sensibility and craftsmanship. The lamp is a functional work of art with the organic clear glass form at center. 1970s Lightolier Brass Waterfall Cage Lamp with New White Glass Diffusers
By Lightolier, Tommi Parzinger
Located in Chattanooga, TN
This ethereal floor lamp, attributed to Lightolier and rooted in the extravagant design ethos of the 1970s, stands as a mesmerizing blend of sculptural art and functional lighting. Towering at an impressive 60.75 inches tall with a 21-inch diameter base, its form resembles a gilded birdcage grotto from which slender brass spires cascade downward like an abstract waterfall. Suspended along these arcs are alabaster-white, ovoid glass diffusers that glow like suspended raindrops, each one part of a harmonious column of illumination. When lit, the lamp transforms—warm amber light reflects off its golden surfaces, casting a dreamy, immersive radiance that balances theatrical presence with serene luminosity. As a functional object, it’s as impressive in daylight as it is at night, acting as a focal point in any elevated interior. Meticulously restored, the lamp features newly fabricated glass shades—faithfully molded from the original—offering enhanced durability while preserving its vintage aesthetics. The brass spines show delicate patina and occasional oxidation, which contributes to the lamp’s authenticity without compromising its visual impact. ALL OF THESE GLASS SHADES ARE NEW! FMV collaborated with a phenomenal glass fabrication studio to reproduce from a mold, cast from an original shade. The final product looks exactly like the original, except the glass on our is a bit thicker (and stronger). Ethereal, majestic, brass waterfall floor lamp...
