About the Item
Fantastic floor lamp model ST 7128 designed by Niek Hiemstra and manufactured by Hiemstra Evolux, The Netherlands 1950. Hiemstra Evolux was a progressive design company located in Amsterdam and founded by Hiemstra & Evenblij in 1934. After his companion left the business in 1952, Hiemstra went on alone and changed the brand name to Hiemstra Evolux.
This very nice Dutch design classic floor lamp is made of black and white enamelled metal. The shade is equipped with four bulbs; three downlighting and one facing upward. The two pull-chord switches allow the lamp to be used in different configurations for direct and indirect light. The lamp is fully refinished and in excellent condition. The shade has some dents from use over the years, the black finishing makes it hard to notice.
