Pair of Gesto Wall or Ceiling Lamps by Bruno Gecchelin for Skipper, Italy 1970
By Bruno Gecchelin, Skipper
Located in Conversano, IT
Rare and sculptural pair of "Gesto" lamps designed by Bruno Gecchelin for Skipper, Italy, in the 1970s. These striking lights can be mounted on either the wall or ceiling, and are part of Gecchelin's celebrated exploration of architectural lighting design. Each lamp features a white enameled steel base and head, connected by two semicircular chrome tubular arcs (2 cm in diameter). The design clearly echoes Bauhaus influences, with a minimal yet expressive geometry-a refined blend of form and function typical of Gecchelin's work. These lamps were published in Domus Magazine (November 1979), a testament to their cultural and historical relevance within Italian modernist lighting. Please note: This item is in a very good vintage condition. Minor signs of age may be present but do not affect its functionality.
