About the Item
Space Age floor lamp by Jean Rispal circa 1955, France. Black lacquered metal structure in the form of a tripod with an ovoid-shaped salmon-colored shade made of pleated cellulose acetate (acrylic commonly called "rhodoïd") with white lacquered metal interior structure.
The Rispal brand was founded by Georges Léon Rispal in 1924, and is known throughout its existence for its designs of novel, biomorphic and organic shapes.
All 100% original. Original bayonet lamp holder. Original plug, wiring and switch. The tripod base and the internal structure of the screen have been repainted.
