A Swiss-made 1960s floor lamp by Temde Leuchten, Switzerland. This lamp consists of nine frosted glass globes and a white enamel metal base and stem.
A real statement piece, whether turned on or off it attracts easily your attention in any space. Not to be missed.
Condition: Some small signs of use, not directly in sight. Lamp has been checked ok. Still holds original electric cable; ready for daily use.
Can be used on US electricity grid after replacing the screw-in bulbs and plug.
Origination: Switzerland, 1960s. Manufacturer label partly present (Temde, Switzerland): Often attributed to Max Bill or E.R. Nele, however so far we have found no literature support.

Floor lamp designed by Pietro Chiesa in 1933 and produced by Fontana Arte. The Luminator was for its time a groundbreaking design, and considered to be the first indirect light floor lamp in design history.
The lamp is completely built up in metal, consisting of a stem that widens into a cone. The color can be best described as a very light grey, with a hint of blue. The finish is not smooth, but has a relief to it.
