This is a very unusual mid-century table or floor lamp, made from wrought iron and parchment. Presumably home made and a unique piece, this light sculpture is certainly something very special. Crafted from wrought iron and parchment, the lamp's design celebrates simplicity and imperfection, key elements of the Wabi Sabi philosophy. A very artisanal piece.
The lamp features a slender wrought iron frame that provides a sturdy yet delicate support structure. The frame branches out to hold exposed brass sockets and light bulbs. The slight translucency of parchment allows some light to pass through while still showcasing the texture and grain of the material. This interplay between light and texture creates a very interesting and appealing piece of lighting. Also, the unique parchment shades - with their irregular shapes and raw edges - add a touch of rustic elegance.
Overall this is a very interesting and highly unusual lighting sculpture.
It comes in original condition and with original wiring.
