A stunningly classic vintage beautiful teak floor lamp with three drinks coasters and a limited edition Maija Isola lampshade. All solid teak in great condition with of course age related wear in the form of patina and the odd nick. The teak has been lightly sanded and waxed. Rewired with a black twisted cloth flex. No metal parts on this lamp touching the cable so no need for grounding. Can be fitted with an EU UK or US plug. Original plastic bulb holder with on / off switch and original lampshade holder. This Komet 1557 floor lamp was designed by Per Sundstedt for the Swedish manufacture Kosta Lampan AB during the 1970s. This lamp is made of metal: chrome-plated and black. It has a height adjustment system in the range of 108-140 cm. The T-shaped base with wheels is made of metal. The movable shade makes it easy to change the direction of the light. Per Sundstedt is considered one of Sweden's most creative lighting designers. He graduated from Konstfack in Stockholm in 1964. His diploma thesis was a bedside lamp with mechanical dimming, which he called Candela 1.
