Vintage Stiffel Brass and Glass Torchiere Floor Lamp
About the Item
A mid-century modern Stiffel lamp is perfectly balanced on a square base that has four little ball feet. It has most of the weight in the base. It emits a soft light through the torchiere shade. It is on a two-way switch. The lamp is functional and still beautiful and in nice vintage condition.
The most attractive feature may be the lampshade, which is a stylized tulip-form milk glass shade with castellated rim and turtleback bottom, over a circular drip pan on a rod-form shaft with baluster top and bottom, on a stepped circular foot on a square footed base. It has had some cosmetic touchup to the finish at some point. No condition issues to speak of. This lamp is elegant and graceful in the Stiffel tradition. It presents beautifully.
