1960s German Leclaire Schäfer 9 Frosted Globe Flush Mount Ceiling Light
About the Item
A space age 1960s German frosted globe flush mount ceiling light. Manufactured by Leclaire & Schäfer whose original manufacturer's label is still present on the inside of the square metal ceiling plate where the wiring is hidden.
The matt lacquered silver square metal ceiling plate is suspended by four screws from a metal fixture which is screwed into the ceiling. Each of the nine globes screw onto a polished chrome cylinder lightbulb holder. The cylinders are set at three different heights: Centre globe: Lowest. Four corner globes: Highest. Four outer middle globes: Middle
The globes are in perfect condition. There are some minor scratches on the square ceiling plate. The satin effect globes offer a wonderful diffused light with a unique iced effect covering them.
The light is in full working order. The wiring has been checked by an electrician.
A perfect addition to most rooms of the home especially those with a lower ceiling height.
