About the Item
Ceiling lamp of the 70s of the 900 in metal and glass attributable to Stilnovo. Circular in shape with rear electrical system and in good condition with small wear caused by years and use. Throughout the 70s Stilnovo will continue to collaborate with established designers producing some of its most important pieces. Despite the success with the public, at the sales level Stilnovo begins to suffer, suffering from competition with other large Italian design companies[3]. In 1986, after receiving an offer to buy from the Finvetro group, Bruno Gatta definitively retired from the company. In 1988 Stilnovo was again sold. To buy it is the Venini group that tries to relaunch it with some new models until production ends definitively in 1993[3]. In the same year Bruno Gatta died at the age of 79[3].
Linea Light Group, the world leader in LED lighting, acquired Stilnovo in 2019, restarting production.

Murano glass ashtray attributable to Archimedes Seguso from the 60s with geometric figures coloured on white. The ashtray measures H 5cm D 16cm. Archimede Seguso was born in Murano on December 17, 1909.
At the age of 11 he began working in the furnace and refined his skill by making eighteenth-century glass.
Just over twenty years old he becomes an excellent Master glassmaker, also distinguishing himself with the newly born processing of heavy artistic glass.
'He takes as designers in the family factory ''Seguso Vetri d'Arte'' first Vittorio Zecchin and then Flavio Poli.'
Since the 1930s he has been invited to exhibit at the Venice Biennale, where, until 1972, there was the 'Venezia' Pavilion dedicated to Murano glass.
