About the Item
A Rare and Important pair of Viennese Secession pendants / chandeliers or flush mounts attributed to the Wiener Werkstatte (Viennese Workshops) in Silver plated nickel with cut crystal balls suspended from the frame. These stunning, elegant Austrian early Mid-Century fixtures embrace both the Modern and Neoclassical aesthetics with a lyricism and poetry that is timeless and irreplaceable. They can be adjusted to flush mount, if desired. The Height of 16" does not include chains.. Priced and Sold Individually.
The Viennese Workshops (Wiener Werkstatte) embraced a unity of art and life, artistic freedom and the highest levels of craftsmanship in the production of total artworks. Their legacy has influenced the whole of western 20th century design including Italian and Scandinavian design.
