Monumental Kaiser Ice Glass Flush Mount Mid-Century Modern Vintage 1970s
About the Item
Round glass ceiling light with ice block pattern by Kaiser Leuchten, Germany, 1970s.
The heavy shade is made from a single piece of thick clear glass folded around a white metal frame and held in place with three steel screws. An impressive piece of glass in good condition with an abstract design reminiscent of ice blocks; a very unusual and almost futuristic take on this Kaiser design. The frame is designed to leave a small gap between the glass and the ceiling.
Overall the light is in good original condition; the metal parts show light signs of use as you would expect from a piece of this age including slight discoloration and corrosion of the mounting plate.
he Fixture requires six European E14 / 110 Volt Candelabra bulbs, each bulb up to 40 watts.
Lightbulbs shown in the pictures are not included in this offer.
