A Pair of Sizeable Paavo Tynell Outdoor/Indoor Industrial style lamps for Idman
About the Item
A pair of sizable industrial style Paavo Tynell outdoor / indoor lamps. These lamps model 2421-2453 are quite large with a big opaline glass ball shade that is easily screwed in and out of place to change the light bulb. The lamps have a beautiful fresh and original greenish gray colour that is easy to integrate in any interior or exterior. Please note that the light bulbs in the pictures are different. One is cool while the other is warm to give you and an idea on how different they can look.
Both lamps (2) are stamped and have small beauty scars here and there. Please see photos and video.
Another similar pair with a slightly different glass shade colour is also available if you're looking for lamps for a large space.

This model is also known as the "horse shoe" due to the horseshoe resembling foot and other features making it resemble Thoroughbreds (see archive pictures) In a 1950s edition of the Finland House Lighting catalouge this lamp was nicknamed Thoroughbred. Now if you think that was because of the horseshoe-foot, think again. The Thoroughbred is a hot-blooded racing horse breed known for its agility and their physical features include a well-chiseled head, a long slim neck and a lean body.
