Release Pendant Light in Brushed Brass
About the Item
Release is an expressive light fixture formed using a delicate cooling technique to create a fractured opening. During the blowing process, an area of the form is meticulously cooled down until it naturally ruptures, thus releasing the stress created by the temperature difference. The opening is then carefully heated to soften and remove any sharp edges, making the sculpture safe to handle and touch. The glass form acts as a large sculptural light bulb, and its spontaneous opening reveals the dance of the filament light bulb underneath. Release lights exemplify beauty in the complimentary yet seemingly opposing qualities of nature and existence.
Materials: Hand blown glass, machined brass hard- ware, LED filament bulb: 12 watts, 2200K.
Dimensions: 13” H x 10” W x 9” D
Hardware: E-26 base. Available as pendant, sconce or table-top light with and external plug, fabric coat- ed cord and switch. Pendant includes a 36” long stem adjustable in 12” increments; custom stem lengths available. Different metal finishes available. UL listing available.
