Icicle Square Flush Mount Lamp Tynell Mid-Century Glashütte Limburg, 70s Germany

About the Item

Magnificent, flush base ceiling or wall lamp by ''Glashütte Limburg'', Germans famous mid century manufacturer of high-end design lighting. Comes in a square rocky icicle like shape in 4 levels, each layer consisting of ice like spikes all around. Attributed to Helena Tynell, due to the center pattern and overall style. She is one of the artists who created the most beautiful lighting of that time, mainly for Glashütte Limburg. The chunky and glamorous glas shade is sitting on a metal base, holding 2 E27 screw fittings. Beautiful warm light, in good mid century condition. Can be wall or ceiling mounted. The lamp comes with a metal rim of 15 mm height plus 0.5 mm metal feet. Base is 25 x 25 cm (9.84'' x 9.84'') approx.. Limburg signage in the base. Ready to be installed world wide, also the US. There is a matching piece available and can be listed on request.
