Vintage Plastic Bubble Textured Globe Flush Mount Lamp or Wall Light Sconce
About the Item
Small Vintage clear and white plastic bubble textured globe flush mount lamp or wall light sconce. This is a small and charming lamp fixture with a space age vibe is a 2 part light comprised of a clear spherical plastic globe molded with a dotted, bubble texture. The bubbling globe twists into a round, off white acrylic base. The base includes 2 hardware holes for mounting to the wall or ceiling, and also houses a socket appropriate for an E 26 or E 27 bulb. This socket is set up to be hard-wired directly into your wall or ceiling, however, the white base was created with two arched notches to allow for easy conversion to a plug in table lamp or sconce.
Unconfirmed maker. The base is stamped "Corodex," a Dutch manufacturer of sockets and other electrical parts. The bubble texture of the plastic globe is inspired by the designs of Helena Tynell for Glashütte Limburg.
