About the Item

Stunning, finer quality made and all original antique, Medieval Style pendant. If you are a collector of rare and ancient looking antiques or if you are an interior designer looking for that extra special pendant light for the perfect atmosphere that your client is looking for then this good size and possibly one of a kind lantern from circa 1910 could be flying your way soon. With antique light fixtures as one of our specialities, we know how rare these Medieval Style lanterns are and to have found one of this age, size, beauty and quality more than made our day. Also, because this all hand-crafted specimen is completely original and in superb condition. None of the handcrafted stained glass windows or panels are chipped or cracked and all of the hand forged wrought iron parts and details (and there are many) are still there. It is therefor too that we believe that this 100+ year old lantern will still be as stunning and ready to use in another 100 years from now. The natural wear has only made this piece more beautiful and its authentic, medieval look and feel will never fail to impress. It may have originally hung in the entrance of a home in France or maybe above the entrance of a medieval style chateau or castle, we are not sure. What we are certain of is that we will never be able to find another one and most certainly not in this amazing condition. Mounted in the right space it will make you feel like stepping back into medieval times and the original wrought iron canopy atop is like the icing on the cake of this handcrafted gem. The level of the workmanship truly is of a bygone era. The kind that you don't find anymore in this day and age and that too is why we sometimes refer to our clients as the custodians of the pieces that we sell. Thanks to the hook inside the canopy mounting this light to your ceiling should take no more than a few minutes and thanks to the door with the trefoil symbol handle (as shown in image 7) replacing a bulb too is child's play. Mind you, this all original, Medieval Style hallway lantern is professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and our price also includes perfect packing (in a custom made box) and even worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days.
