Antique & Large Stained Glass & Solid Oak Victorian Style Hall Lantern / Pendant

About the Item

One of a kind and large antique hallway lantern. This large and stately, Victorian Style chandelier is another one of our recent great finds. Its large size and unique design makes it suitable for not only a large entrance, but also for a stately stairwell. The solid and stained oak 'exterior' is the perfect frame for the stunning, stained glass shades. Also, because the marvelous colors of this stained glass lantern stand out perfectly against the dark oak 'house' of this unique light fixture. Since this stunning Victorian design pendant was created around the turn of the century, it must have been custom-made for a Victorian era (inspired) mansion. Since the remarkable floral design in the center of each of the four stained glass windows can also be interpreted as a stylised Christian cross, this unique pendant may also have been made for a church entrance or monastery. Former owners have clearly taken extreme good care of this all-handcrafted and valuable antique, because both the oak frame and especially the large stained glass shades are in excellent condition. This unique lantern comes with the original, antique brass chain and also with the height adjustable, heavy bronze canopy (both in perfect condition). Thanks to the metal hook inside the sizeable and solid bronze canopy, mounting this lantern tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) will take no more than a few minutes. Our price for this large size and ready to use antique lantern even includes perfect packing and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days. Mind you, this warm light (and a great atmosphere) creating pendant has been rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take a 120 watt bulb. For our photos we used a 75 watt bulb. Maximum height x diameter: 41.7 x 20.5 inches. Height of this large lantern without the chain and canopy: 24 inches. Diameter of the perfect bronze canopy: 4.9 inches. We have 8 more inches of the original antique brass chain to lengthen the drop. Thanks to the chain we (or you) can also adjust the height to one that is perfect for you(r client).
