About the Item
Highly polished and lacquered solid copper ship’s lantern with lacquer finish. Fresnel glass lens. Wired with electric socket and Edison bulb for home enjoyment. Fitted with brass handles, hinge, hasp, bars, etc. Brass badge with serial number from lantern maker Meteorite and another from the ship’s chandler “Harvie Commercial Quality, Birmingham”. And a sturdy lantern this is. Mounted to a thick mahogany base.
