National Marine Lamp Co. Iron Bulkhead Marine Lantern
About the Item
National Marine Lamp Co. Sheet-Iron Marine bulkhead Marine lantern, green paint, wire handle, rectangular form with contoured top, applied brass label impressed "National Marine Lamp Co./New York", three unpatterned glass panes and wire guards including one fitted in a hinged door, remaining side fitted with a mounting bracket. Fitted with a sheet-iron font with ring handle, electrified hinge lip burner and period slip colorless chimney. First quarter 20th century. The old green paint finish on this lantern is fantastic. We usually polish lanterns but the primitive look on this cannot be altered. It's just so great. Circa 1910.
