Antique Canadian National Railway Piper Signal Lantern

About the Item

This antique railroad lantern was made by the Hiram L. Piper Company of Canada and date to approximately 1920 and was made for the Canadian National Railroad. The lantern has a heavy metal exterior shell with amber and green molded glass lenses. The lantern is complete with its original kerosene burner. The lantern is clearly signed "Piper Montreal" and "CNR" on the front indicating it was commissioned by the Canadian National Railroad.. Please note the posted dimensions refer to the handle up as presented. The lantern itself measures fifteen and a half inches in height itself.
