About the Item
An elegant pair of mid-20th-century cast aluminium pillar lanterns, each with a tapering square-section body rising to a domed and flared base, and surmounted by a pointed finial. The lanterns retain their original smoked perspex panels within moulded frames, creating a soft, diffused glow. The lanterns are designed in a traditional style evocative of late-Victorian and Edwardian Street lighting. The lanterns have acquired a uniform vert-de-gris patina commensurate with age.
