    The lantern #5 comes from a collection of lanterns Lehrecke designed in 2002 with ten versions and a number of veneer options. The influence was traditional Japanese and has a contemporary metal frame which the veneer shade slides over. The veneers are carefully collected from large logs so that the shades can be made in single flitches and the resulting glow coming through the shades is serene.
