Set of 2 Lumiere of Saint Anthony in Caltagirone ceramic, 1940s
Intact and in good condition, small signs of aging.
Found in a noble villa.
The bowls contained wicks soaked in oil which were lit to illuminate.
In the ancient tradition of Caltagirone, they were used to decorate the steps of the famous town during the celebrations for the patron saint San Giacomo.
Different in shape, color or shade, the lamp is ideal as a centerpiece or as a piece of furniture that demonstrates character and charm.
