Marvelous design, Benson style, handmade Arts and Crafts era ceiling light. This early Jugendstil pendant is of an aesthetically pleasing beauty that will never fail to impress. The design is as Jugendstil or Art Nouveau as they come, because you cannot look at this light and wonder what style it may be. Apart from truly great in design and highly stylish, this finest quality workmanship pendant also has a marvelous patina. This fine work of lighting art also is very well executed and in very good condition. We found two small repairs/'solderings' to the corners, but other than it is completely original and over the years it has only grown more beautiful and appealing. We have compared this light with those by Benson of England, but we feel it is more beautiful and possibly even by a more famous European designer. The stunning bronze and brass frame combined with the original and unique curved glass panels make this pendant an absolute joy to own and look at, both with the light switched on and off. This antique light fixture too will be professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well. Because of its small size this unique pendant is ideal for a small entry hall or any other small room that can do with a style upgrade.
