Swedish Iron Lantern
About the Item
A Swedish iron lantern, first half 20th century with later glass.
Nicely designed with geometric piercing and shaping and a grey to brown tone to the bare metal finish. Good overall condition, with lots of interesting patina from age, wear, cleaning and traces of old paint (or plaster). Structurally sound, some minor surface rust. A simple diffuser disc of recent textured glass is held in place with 3 original screws. There is a short chain of hand-made links with a heavy ceiling canopy/plate.
Wiring:
Original wiring has been removed. A new E27 bulb-holder is in place, and new wiring will be required to meet local regulations.

Height: 49cm to top of ceiling plate or 36cm to top of highest scrolls
Diameter: 31cm
The glass disc in the base rests on three screws (image 4) and will be separated for shipping.
