YOLK is a project designed by Angeletti&Ruzza who ironically and light-heartedly play on the duo concept, starting from the mix of elements making the lamp, metal and glass, which reflect and diffuse the light. This is then echoed by its name, evoking the simplicity of the quintessential two-material element, the egg, which is also the emblem of the creative duo’s generative power.

Founded in 1945, Oluce is the oldest Italian design company in the lighting sector still in operation today. Oluce lighting’s design aesthetic is crisp, linear, and decorative. A subtle, intellectual beauty that over the years has led the company to produce some of the more recognizable and admired iconic lighting in the world. Oluce, already participating at the 9th Triennale in Milan, throughout its long history, has received numerous acknowledgements including two Golden Compass awards, two Design Awards and the Gold Medal at the 13th Triennale in Milan. Oluce’s expertise reveals its unparalleled manufacturing excellence which transforms into objects an untiring technological research into the potential of light. Each lamp is a milestone along this journey. Over time, from unusual materials, original designs and new lighting sources ensued revolutionary iconic designs by Tito Agnoli, Joe Colombo, Marco Zanuso, Ostuni e Forti, and Vico Magistretti, who since the 50s, have been rewriting the history of lighting. Recent collections reaffirm Oluce design and decorative approach, expressed through the signs by Italian and international designers such as Angeletti & Ruzza, Francesco Rota, Nendo, Victor Vasilev, Nicola Gallizia, Christophe Pillet, Mist-o and David Lopez Quincoces.

Duca is the project specifically designed by Nicola Gallizia for the new ME Milan Il Duca, a prestigious address in terms of luxury hotels in Milan.
Initially envisaged by Gallizia in the table version for decorating the sleeping area in the suites, a wall-mounted adaptation was then also developed to light up the corridors on the floors.
The initial idea for Duca was a light source able to take up where the concept of the classical bedside lamp had left off, reinventing its shape, combining it with a very soft, indirect light, of which it is almost impossible to perceive the source but which lights up the table and beside table area accurately and efficiently.
