Rare and meaningful, 3 feet tall, bronze Gothic floor candle holder for thirteen candles. This antique, Gothic Revival altar or floor candelabra for thirteen candles is another one of those antiques of which you immediately realize that it ticks all the boxes. Even if it is no longer in perfect condition and even with a few minor restaurations that were done over the many decades, this most certainly is still a great looking church relic and one with a deeper meaning that makes it even more special. The many and pure Gothic Revival elements like the Medieval castle tower candle holders, the many trefoil symbols (for the trinity), the winged Gothic gargoyles (for keeping away bad spirits or bad energy) are just some of these marvelous and very recognizable Gothic features. Perfectly handcrafted in the first quarter of the 1900s this rare and intricate candelabra has exactly the kind of patina that you wish to find on a piece of this age. The heavy quality of the bronze too makes this an impressive church relic to look at. The design of this decorative work of Gothic art is extremely well balanced as well, but it is the deeper meaning of this large size antique that really takes it to the next level (both in meaning and in rarity). Have you noticed how there are 12 candle holder at the same level and then there is one at the top? The twelve candles on the outside (in Christianity) represent the twelve apostles and the one in the middle represents Jesus. In the daytime and even more so in the evenings (with burning candles) this antique Gothic church floor candelabra will never fail to impress.
