About the Item

Handcrafted bronze and brass wall candelabras. This rare and great looking pair of Dutch wall candelabras dates from the late 1800s and this pair could hardly be in better condition. Their design and patina are superb as well and these works of beauty can only have been hand-crafted by a professional metal worker. The details are truly fine and the same can be said for all six, original, strong brass, gass valves. Via these manually adjustable valves the gas light would have been made more or less bright. The gas pipes on the back have been cut off so that these sconces now have a flat back via which they can be mounted tight to your wall. Each candelabra comes with three arms with one perfect candle holder on each arm. During the day, but especially in the evenings with the candles lit these antiques radiate nothing but pure class, creating an atmosphere that is second to none. Thanks to their practical size and relatively timeless design these rare candle holders can be used and enjoyed in all kinds of rooms (big and small) and in a variety of interior styles. These also make great antiques for one of our many interior designer clients.
