About the Item
For your consideration are these superbly stylish and completely original Art Deco period pair of wall lights made from Chrome and Bakelite / Catalin with Frosted Flame (Flambe) glass shades.
The chrome back plates hold two chrome circular rings which in turn hold the central sections. The centre sections are made from dark bronze colour catalin bakelite with a ribbed structure ( they have been simichrome tested and confirmed as being phenolic). The centre sections terminate to its original 3 tier stepped chrome shade holders that hold and support the shades. The shades are typical deco design Flame or Flambe shades in frosted glass. Very rare to have the bakelite in catalin/ phenolic rather than regular bakelite.
Condition.
The chrome sections are in super condition with no pitting or corrosion. The shades are in very good condition a few minor fleabites on the rims, completely hidden when in their galleries.
These lights will integrate perfectly with both modern and period settings. Large sized offering maximum impact. Definitely wont disappoint. For US the lights will need rewiring by a qualified electrician.
