Art Deco Plaster Shell Sconce by Elgé, France 1960s

About the Item

A French Art Deco style wall sconce featuring an elegant oversized plaster shell shaped shade. The shade has channeled detailing, a scalloped edge and a decorative bottom finial. Incised ‘Elgé 7217’ stamp on interior of shade. Sourced in France, 1960s.  DIMENSIONS: 27""W x 12.25""D x 8.5""H" CONDITION: Great vintage condition. This sconce was professionally rewired for U.S. use with a new sockets. Minor wear and areas of discoloration to the plaster are consistent with age and use. Accepts two standard base bulbs. Mounting hardware is included.
