About the Item
The Continuum collection comprises five sconce models and multiple large scale chandeliers. Sconces are available handed for symmetrical installations. Hand blown glass shades are made to order in Brooklyn.
Glass Shades: hand blown glass in solid colors, stripes and bi-color ombre fades made to order. Each color has a range of tones, particularly for ombre shades. All colors will vary somewhat with no two shades being exactly alike. Refer to glass color guide for standard and specialty colors. Colors can be specified individually or fully customized.
Metal finishes: brushed Brass, antique Brass, brushed Nickel and oil-rubbed Bronze. Our Brass hardware is hand finished and clear coated to prevent tarnish. Please contact the studio for more information on custom colors or metal finishes.
AVRAM RUSU STUDIO is a Brooklyn based design studio known for impeccably crafted and distinctly sculptural work.
The Continuum collection was inspired by New York’s vibrant street art. The structure consists of a set of custom bent brass tubes that can be arranged in a variety of ways to produce a multitude of styles and sizes. The hand blown glass shades are sequenced to accentuate the sculptural lines of the each model while engaging in their own dialogue about color and pattern.

AVRAM RUSU STUDIO
Avram Rusu Studio is a multidisciplinary design studio known for distinctly sculptural work. Founded by architect Andreea Avram Rusu in 2004, the Brooklyn based company specializes in finely crafted and beautifully detailed products made in the US. The studio works closely with many New York based artists and artisans including glass blowers, ceramic artists, metal workers, machinists, finishers and wood workers. All pieces are designed, and prototyped in the Avram Rusu Brooklyn studio.
Metal finishes: polished, brushed or antique Brass, polished or satin Copper, polished or satin Nickel, burnished Pewter, and oil rubbed Bronze.
Glass shades: standard colors are white, aqua, dark and light gray as solid color, bi-color ombre or with fading or striping. Upcharges apply for ombre shades. Colors can be selected from existing palates, specified individually or fully customized. Please contact the studio for more information.
