Four Sergio Terzani Phantom Gold Inclusions Wall Sconces
About the Item
Four wall lamps designed by Jean-François Crochet for Terzani, in Italy, during the 1980's.
These lamps are made of handcrafted metal with a dark finish and a gold inclusion glass shade.The highlight of the lamp is its unique shape - the metal was artfully bent and forms the focus of this work of art with the glass.
The Phantom Wall Lamp was designed by Jean-Francois Crochet for the manufacturer Terzani.
Jean-Francois Crochet was born in France in 1949. His work can be seen in famous nightclubs in Montreal, such as Le Tiffany and Le club Alexandre.
This surprising design of the Phantom wall lamp can almost be called theatrical due to its special shapes. The fixture is somewhat reminiscent of the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans, due to the special curls at the bottom of the lamp. The diffuse shade is made of special blown Murano glass that is still made in the traditional way.
Jean-Francois Crochet's design is also called the bridge between past and present. The soft and curved diffuser harmonizes perfectly with the elegant curves of the base, making the Phantom - Wall Lamp a very successful design object.
Electricity: 1 bulb B20 Halogen, 1 x 42 watt maximum, 110/220 volt. Not any type of light bulb can be used. It has to be a small bulb.
Versions were made with an E12 and E14, 60 watt bulb.
