About the Item
Exceptional pair of French Art Deco wall sconces with carved alabaster bowl diffusers hanging from brass frames. The back plates project from the wall as two scrolls around the square post, implying a lyre design. The Neoclassical influence continues in the fluted brass ring that secures the alabaster hemispheres, crowned at the top with stylized scallop ornaments. Swirls of pink in the stone result in a warm and flattering light put out by candelabra-base bulbs inside the fixture. Professionally cleaned and rewired to US electrical standards using UL-listed parts, ready to install in your interior. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition as there are a number of scratches due to the soft nature of the alabaster. Sold as a pair.
