Gilt Leaf Wall Sconce, Italy 1960s - 2 Available
About the Item
A 1960s Italian sconce featuring six curved arms with leaf detailing, reminiscent of a branch. Each arm has a bobeche and accepts one candelabra light bulb. This sconce is constructed with metal and has a stunning hand-applied gold leaf finish. It hangs from a new circular brass backplate. Unmarked. Sourced in Italy, 1960s.
DIMENSIONS: 24"W x 21"H x 7.5"D / Backplate: 5.5"Dia
CONDITION: Great vintage condition. Minor wear including marks and areas of loss to the gilt finish is consistent with age and use. These sconces were professionally rewired for U.S. use with new antique brass sockets. They have new circular brass backplates. Each sconce accepts 6 LED candelabra light bulbs. Only LED bulbs are compatible with these fixtures.
