About the Item

Beauty and unique Long Pair of Italian interconecting hexagonan Murano glasses Wall Sconces from 1970s by Carlo Nason. These fixtures were made during the 1970s in Italy for the Venice Company “AV Mazzega” by Carlo Nason as Designer. Each Wall Sconce is compose by 32 hexagonan murano glasses and one more as replacement. Mazzega lie in the noble Venetian glassworking tradition; the firm was founded Angelo Vittorio Mazzega in Murano, Italy. In 1950 his son Gianni Bruno Mazzega started working in the family’s glass factory. Gianni Bruno Mazzega is responsible for the creation of many beauty lamps. Carlo Nason, born in Murano in 1935 he grew up in one of the oldest families of Murano glass makers where experts introduced him to the most refined techniques. In the 60s he worked for the family glass works Nason & C. He quickly started to collaborate with other glass workshops, with special attention for modern design and achieving a combination of technique and craftsmanship which characterizes all his projects. Carlo has always shown an attitude for innovation without losing his tradition. From 1965 until 1980 he designed the complete collection of AV Mazzega, that today is an icon of vintage: the creation of the highest quality at the level of its design. Each Wall Sconce is equipped with 1 light socket E14. A professional electrician has checked and prepared the piece to operate in US, UK and EU. Our main target is customer satisfaction, so we include in the price for this item professional and custom made wood packing and Insurance.
